Sixteen days went into this design and there is still more to come! We built a whole new template that is based on xhtml strict - the most strict and up-to-date html backbone. The page is layed out in css and brought together with php. You would be amazed at the work that went into the template. If I recorded the time it would be way over forty hours, my guess is close to sixty. We even got a new banner for the website.
On the homepage you will notice something to the right; a live blog feed! Yes, I have brought the blog back and it should be better than ever!
The Prayer Requests section of the website has had a huge revamp in the mainframe of the site. It is a dynamic database which allows a much easier way of adding your prayer requests, not to mention it is much faster.
The Common Questions page hasn't had much of a change, but it did get a change for the better. The questions are now set apart from the other text much better now. I hope this helps with reading them.
The Salvation page had a few minor tweaks; the unordered lists on the site now have a small bible for the bullets and there is a new picture for the example prayer. Go check it out!
Last but not least we have added a new poem. My aunt passed away earlier this week and because of this Dot Chadwick wrote a poem for her. The poem is called Nettie's "Race". Go check it out.
Thanks for reading our update. God Bless,
-Brandon Schmidt
Well this is not an actual announcement but it has been made so that you know the day that the new template was started. I started out the design with a blank piece of computer paper. I sketched out what I though the new template should look like; it was a good basic idea when I completed the draft.
I then opened up Dreamweaver® and began the designing process.
Have you ever looked at the Bible in a history view and looked at how historically accurate the accounts are?
Have you ever wondered about Christs’ role in his environment and in his settings? Over the next month or so I will be doing an addition to the website to allow you to see these views and hopefully give you a greater understanding and love for reading the Bible.
